. How much damage is placed on Beast?
A: 3 damage. #/1052/# reduces the amount of damage he would take by 1 due to his Resist 1, then after the amount of damage is determined Beast's Shield Another ability applies and replaces the placement of damage.

Q: I control a #/1023/# and another character. I play a #/1043/# and use its ability to give Beast Resist 1. If my other character challenges a character of my opponent which has 4 , how much damage is placed on #/1023/#?
A: 4 damage. Beast's Shield Another ability is not counted as damaging Beast, it only places counters on him. Therefore, no matter how much resist Beast has, he will always place the same amount of damage on himself by the Sield Another ability.

Q: I control 2 #/1023/# and a Simba character. If my SImba challenges my opponent character which has 4 , how do I place damage on my characters?
A: You would choose which of your #/1023/# to place 4 damage on. #/1023/#'s Shield Another ability is a replacement ability. This means that once one of your #/1023/#'s has received the damage that Simba would have taken, there is no longer any damage for the second to replace and therefore that second copy does not have any damage placed on it.

Q: I control two copies of #/1023/#, Flounder, Goons and Owl. If my opponent plays #/436/# and attempts to deal 2 damage to each of my characters, how do I place damage on my character?
A: Choose one of your copies of #/1023/# to place 14 damage on (the damage that would have been placed on all your other character cards) and the other copy of #/1023/# you control would have 2 damage placed on him (this damage is what would have been placed on the first copy of #/1023/#). Note that after #/436/# has finished resolving the copy, the copy of #/1023/# who had 14 damage placed on him will be banished.

Q: My opponent controls an exerted copy of Simba and a copy of #/1023/#. If I challenge my opponent's Simba with my #/921/#, can I ready my #/921/# using his Second Wind ability?
A: You cannot. When using the Shield Another ability of #/1023/#, damage is never placed on the other character. Also Beast's ability does that damage is only placed placed on him. This means that even though you challenged an opposing character and damage was placed on an opposing character, no opposing characters were damaged so #/921/#'s Second Wind ability cannot trigger.

Q: I control a copy of #/1023/# and a copy of #/1052/#. My opponent controls a copy of Flounder. In this situation, I play #/982/# and choose #/1052/# as my character to deal 2 damage to, how much damage will be placed on what characters?
A: 1 damage will be placed on #/1023/# and 2 damage will be placed on Flounder.
